Eva Longoria Bastón has long been a nurturing mother figure to relatives and studied as much as she could about having a baby before she gave birth to her first son Santiago on June 19. She's surrounded by a support group of friends and family, with one particularly famous friend really bringing the hands-on advice.
"Kerry Washington's basically my doula," she told Entertainment Tonight.
Kerry taught Eva to trust her own gut, above all.
"I have a baby nurse… I have a mother-in-law, and [Washington] was like, you know, 'You have the best instinct,'" she said.
She told ET that she's been with the baby constantly until doing the interview.
"You know what, it's been [seven] weeks, he's seven weeks old, and I've been with him day and night, not working for seven weeks and it's been the best seven weeks of my life. I just miss him so much."
And so far, it's been smooth sailing.
"He's a dream, and he's such a good baby," she said. "I knock on wood. He's just been so easy, so sweet, we've been really lucky, he's super healthy. It's just been great."
